Biography

Israil Arsamakov had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1988 Olympics Light-Heavyweight class (377.5 kg); 2nd in the 1986 World Championships Light-Heavyweight class (390.0 kg); 1st in the 1986 European Championships Light-Heavyweight class (382.5 kg). He set one light-heavyweight snatch world record.
